MIR HADI ENTERPRISE LTD is seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Support Technician to support its IT and retail operations. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day technical assistance, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, maintain network connectivity, and ensure that company systems and equipment operate efficiently. The role involves supporting staff across office and retail environments while helping maintain a secure and reliable IT infrastructure.
Duties
Provide prompt technical support to staff, resolving issues involving hardware, software, operating systems and network connectivity.
Troubleshoot and maintain Windows, macOS and Linux systems and applications.
Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, POS-related equipment and other IT peripherals used within the business.
Configure and troubleshoot LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, switches and firewall connectivity.
Support Active Directory tasks, including user account creation, password resets, permissions and group management.
Assist with Microsoft Windows Server administration, software deployment, updates and system maintenance.
Monitor and maintain IT equipment and connectivity supporting the company’s retail and office operations.
Manage technical support requests through systems such as ServiceNow, Jira or similar ticketing platforms, recording incidents and resolutions accurately.
Assist with cybersecurity by supporting firewall configurations, security updates and monitoring network activity for potential issues.
Diagnose technical problems, identify root causes and implement effective solutions to minimise disruption to business operations.
Maintain records of IT assets, installations, repairs and maintenance activities.
Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate internal staff or external IT providers when required.
Experience and Skills
Previous experience in IT support, technical support or a similar position.
Good understanding of computer hardware, software and networking.
Practical knowledge of LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls and network troubleshooting.
Experience supporting Windows operating systems, with knowledge of macOS and Linux.
Knowledge of Active Directory and user administration.
Experience with helpdesk and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server and software deployment tools such as SCCM is desirable.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical staff.
Ability to prioritise support requests and work effectively in a busy IT and retail environment.
